Happy Friday Parents, We are completing Wolfie’s Challenge again this year! Wolfie’s Challenge is a way to prep students for the Georgia Milestones. We have created quizzes for students to complete. The form (attached) is coming home in Friday Folders. Students are challenged to complete at least 20 or more practice quizzes at home and/or in school. We also have some updated Zoo information about where you are to park, pack, etc. If you are a chaperone we will give you your group information and badges when we arrive to the park. Hello Parents and Students,
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I had the opportunity to go meet my nephew in Jacksonville, Florida! He is absolutely adorable. This week we will continue to work on book report projects. Students will be presenting and creating QR codes in class. If your child brings his or her device to school it would be nice if he or she could have a QR code reader on his or her device. The one I like the most is called QR Code Reader and Scanner. It is free. We will continue on reviewing and working on Narrative Writing this week. Students will work through the entire writing process this week. Students have reading 25 minutes each night, study island (student's choice), and vocabulary tic-tac-toe board. Please let me know if you have any questions. The zoo trip is next week if there are any questions about that as well please see the handouts and PowerPoint from last week or please email me if you have any questions. Thank you and have a great week! Kara Merck Hello Parents and Students, This week we are reviewing Narrative Writing! Students are working on their introductions today! Students also will practice typing answers like they will do for the GMAS. Students will create a book project this week starting on Wednesday on the book of their choice. Students will have 8 choices of projects to do and will record themselves presenting their project. Once students have completed their presentation they will create QR codes for their project. Students will then watch each others presentations. Homework this week is reading every night, completing any SRC assessments that students still need to do (Wednesday is the due date), Scholastic News, and vocabulary tic-tac-toe. Zoo Information: I am attaching a Zoo Information PowerPoint and PDF of information that will be helpful getting prepared for the zoo trip on Wednesday March 30th-March 31st. It is at the bottom of this blog post. Students will also be bringing home a bight green paper about the zoo TODAY! :) If you have any questions after reading the handout and PowerPoint please let me know. Thank you, Kara Merck
